Salem Seniors Asked for Input on the City

A survey will help Salem prepare a strategic plan as part of the Age-Friendly Network.

Salem, MA - City officials are asking residents over the age of 50 to share what they think is important in Salem.

In October 2015, Salem was accepted into the Age-Friendly Network by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Salem became only the third community in Massachusetts and the first on the North Shore to be accepted into the program. As part of this initiative, the City is preparing a strategic plan as the final step in its certification as an Age-Friendly Community by the AARP and WHO.

To help prepare the plan, the city is seeking input and feedback from Salem residents 50 years of age or older. City officials want to know what the needs are for seniors in Salem and what is important to them.
