SalemRecycles' Book Swap Returns to the Senior Center March 19
New this spring, there will be information available on composting.

Salem, MA - On Saturday, March 19, SalemRecycles will host their ever-popular free book swap from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. at the Salem Senior Center at 5 Broad Street. In addition to finding new books and media treasures, as well as recycling items for others to enjoy, participants will be able to ask questions about recycling, and reuse.
New this spring, the swap will also include an information table on the curbside pickup composting program and the transition from the free pilot program to a program with a nominal monthly fee. Resident home composting questions are also welcome.
“We are excited to again host the semi-annual free book swap,” said SalemRecycles chair Beth Melillo. “We also recognize that many people are now enthusiastic composters and have questions about the curbside program and composting in general. The books swap is the perfect community event to provide composting information.”
