In this one-day workshop, participants will create their own hand-printed tea towels from design conception to print production! Participants will design and carve an easy cut linoleum one-color, one-layer stamp. Upon completion, students will ink their stamp and hand press it to a cotton tea towel (5 towels). Students will keep the stamps and tea towels they create. This is a great way to learn about printmaking or try printmaking on a new surface! Please note fees and preregistration are required — visit here to sign up.
Come Make "Hissstory!" - 3 -5 p.m.
Come make “Hissstory” with the 2025 Salem Arts Festival Community Art Project alongside lead artists Claudia Paraschiv and Linda Mullen. Celebrate the life of Salem's community and the Year of the Snake by crafting snake segments using our city's discarded event banners and your own individual artistic flare. The project will then be assembled and displayed downtown during the 2025 Salem Arts Festival and beyond. "Hissstory" is a project of Salem Main Streets and The Creative Collective and is made possible with support from the Salem Public Art Commission.
