Salem's Best Pizza is 'Amazing'

Amazing Pizza is - apparently - amazing.

That’s what voters of all ages said at Monday night’s Salem’s Best Pizza Contest.

Amazing Pizza was first for both kids favorite and adult favorite categories, according to Mary Sholds, the membership director at Salem YMCA who organized the event.

In the kids favorite category, second place went to Deli House and third place was a tie between Flying Saucer and White Dove.

After putting Amazing Pizza at the top, adults went in a different direction. Second place went to Fran and Diane’s and third place was awarded to Cindy’s Planet Pizza.

Last year, Damatas Pizza won in both categories. In the late 2000s, Engine House won three out of four years.
