Salem's Bit Bar Eyes Malden Expansion
The retro-themed arcade will open its second location at the J Malden Center development at 190 Pleasant Street.
SALEM, MA — Bit Bar, the Salem bar and restaurant stocked with retro pinball and arcade games, plans to open a second location in Malden. According to Eater Boston, which first reported this story, Bit Bar will be part of the currently under construction J Malden Center development at 190 Pleasant Street. Other restaurants signed on to the development include Landsmith, a cafe owned by the co-founder of Union Square Donuts.
Details of when Bit Bar will open in Malden were not immediately available, according to Eater. But Bar has been operating in Salem since 2016 and features a menu of video game-inspired dishes, like Tetris Tater Tots and mac and cheese "bytes."
