SALEM, MA — It's Thursday, July 23. Here's what Patch has been covering on the North Shore and across Massachusetts today.

The Satanic Temple, the Salem-based nonprofit that advocates for a clearer of separation of religion and government, is offering college scholarships to students who graduate high school in 2020.

The two-question application asks students to explain how they have promoted the Satanic Temple's mission and to describe a teacher who "crushed your spirit, undermined your self-confidence, and made you hate every minute you were forced to be in school." Read more.

Marblehead Camp Closes After Positive Coronavirus Test

Children's Island Camp in Marblehead was closed for cleaning Thursday, a day after a member of the camp's counselor-in-training program tested positive for the coronavirus.

Indictment Accuse Danvers Man Of Cloning Guns

Danvers police arrested Iury Sette, 18, after being called to his family's apartment in February for a domestic dispute. They found five guns and ammunition, including two guns that had been cloned and did not have serial numbers.

Catherine Greig is a free woman after completing her federal prison sentence for helping Whitey Bulger. Greig is the longtime girlfriend of the Boston mobster and served a multi-year sentence for harboring a fugitive after being on the run with Bulger for 16 years.
