Seaglass Village Senior-Assisted Volunteer Services Expand To Salem
Since its inception in 2021, Seaglass Village has been dedicated to providing senior services in Marblehead, Nahant, and Swampscott.

SALEM, MA — Seaglass Village, a volunteer-based organization that has been providing support to seniors living independently in Marblehead, Nahant and Swampscott since 2021, is expanding to Salem.
Organizers said this expansion marks a significant milestone in the organization's journey as it broadens its reach to serve more communities.
"We have received numerous requests over the past three years from people in Salem asking when we would be expanding here," said Heidi Whear, a founder and board member of Seaglass Village. "Due to our many connections with senior agencies in Salem, we feel that Salem is the perfect next step for us."

Seaglass Village, a member of the national Village-to-Village Network, is committed to making a positive difference for older adults by establishing a way for neighbors to help neighbors maintain their independence. Dozens of volunteers provide services to members, including providing rides and making friendly visits, and the organization also invites members and volunteers to a wide variety of social events.
The organization said it will be promoting its services in Salem through a variety of channels, including press outreach, word of mouth, and community presentations. Their goal is to enroll at least 15 new members and 30 volunteers before officially "opening" in Salem.

"If you have a friend in Salem who could benefit from our volunteer services, or if you belong to a group where we can share our mission, please contact us.
