Water Main Break Along Loring Avenue Could Affect Water Service

A water main broke at about 9:30 a.m. along Loring Avenue.

A water main break in South Salem on Friday morning has flooded a section of Loring Avenue and could leave some water customers without water.

The break happened at about 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Sumner Road and Loring Avenue. It is one of a spate of water main breaks in Salem recent weeks.

“DPW work crews are on site and working to repair this break,” city officials said in a CodeRed phone message to residents.
