Woman-Owned Salem Cannabis Shop 'Starbird' Set For Grand Opening
Starbird will host its grand opening at 2 Bridge Street at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

SALEM, MA — Elizabeth Childs is bringing what she calls a "new era of premium cannabis products and exceptional customer service" to Salem with the grand opening of her Starbird dispensary on Saturday.
Childs, an Alaskan native and now Salem resident, said she is proud to be a pioneer as a woman founder and owner in an emerging industry that is typically dominated by men and bigger businesses.
"As a locally-owned and proudly woman-owned establishment, we draw inspiration and follow in the footsteps of close family members who have successfully opened weed shops in other parts of the country," she said. "We may not be big or corporate, but we are deeply knowledgeable about cannabis and dedicated to listening to our customers.
