No Injuries After Car Crashes into Route 1 Liquors in Foxborough

There were no injuries reported after a motor vehicle drove through the entrance of Route 1 Liquor Mart at 29 Washington St. in Foxborough Saturday afternoon.

"[It] could have been a lot worse than how this image [see above] portrays it," Foxborough Police said on its Facebook page.

Police received a 911 call from Route 1 Liquor Mart at 4:51 p.m. Saturday reporting a car had crashed through the front of the building.

Foxborough police officers Patrick Morrison, Patrick Hoffman, Mark Bohnenberger and Sgt. Scott Austin were dispatched to Route 1 Liquor Mart and observed the 2010 gray Toyota Corolla through the front door of the Foxborough package store.

An off-duty Foxborough firefighter was on scene and reported the driver, an East Walpole woman, was out of the vehicle and not injured.

"Thankfully, no employees or customers inside the store were injured," police said. "The operator of the vehicle was also not injured."

Police said the operator of the vehicle was not impaired and "no criminal charges are moving forward at this time."

The Toyota Corolla was removed from the Route 1 Liquor Mart after the store's owner gathered any merchandize "that could be salvaged."

Mansfield Children's Lemonade Stand Raises Money for Boston Marathon Victims

When Dianna Feinberg and her husband came home from work in Boston the day of the marathon bombings, all her kids wanted to know was what happened.

Feinberg’s two children, Zoe and Jacob saw the reports of the marathon bombing on the news and wondered what was going on in Boston. After asking and finding out that several people were hurt, the two children soon wanted to know how they could help. Coming up with the idea of a lemonade and cookie stand to raise money for the One Fund, the two set up shop outside their house on April 28 with a little help from their parents.

“Everybody had a great reaction. Most people were pleasantly surprised, a lot of people said ‘great job that’s very kind of you,’ Feinberg said.
