It’s a group ( police, fire, corrections and Justice) who volunteer for events to help raise funds and awareness for the Special Olympics athletes. We collaborate as group for the athletes and help present medals at the games. We form a bond of brothers and sisters not just as a Torn Run member but we form a special bond with the athletes. We show up to give to the athletes but we leave with happy hearts and big smiles. Torch Run members always look forward to the next event.

In March 2025 at the Torch Run kickoff luncheon, my son was selected for the Law Enforcement Torch Run athlete of the year award. It was an experience I won’t forget. He was so proud to be cheered on by police, fire, corrections and Justice. I feel the moments we share during our Torch Run events help our members get through the challenges during the year In our lives especially at work
