Monday Essentials: Family Night Happening at Seekonk Public Library

Good morning, Seekonk and Swansea. Here are five things you need to know this week.

2. Spring Knitting Group at Swansea Public Library Thursday: The group will meet at 12 p.m. Thursday. For more, check this out.

3. What Else Is Happening This Week? Family Night at Seekonk Public Library:

Monday at 6:30 p.m., Roger Tincknell, award winning singer/storyteller, will perform "Earth Rhythms!"

From rain forests to recycling, conservation to compost, Earth Rhythms travels from our backyard to around the world celebrating and teaching environmental awareness and responsibility with songs, stories, legends and facts.  Roger will also use a Native American rainstick, Incan Charango and flute, Russian Balalaika, African Achika drum, as well as guitar, mandolin, banjo and harmonica!

This program is is free and open to the public.  For ALL AGES!  It is generously supported by The Friends of Seekonk Public Library!

4. Purchase a Brick in Swansea to Honor a Veteran.

Swansea's Veterans Memorial Green is in the construction stage and our veterans are very excited about the project. If you wish to purchase a lasered brick to honor a veteran living or deceased call Don at the American legion post 303. His cell phone number is (774) 488 4288. The bricks are $50.00 and can contain 3 lines lasered to honor a veteran for their service to our country. The Veteran being honored does not have to be a Swansea resident.
