Power Returning to Swansea, Seekonk

Monday Morning Update: Power is back for nearly everybody in Seekonk and Swansea. There are 10 customers without power in Seekonk, and 20 without power in Swansea, according to National Grid's website. Power is expected to be restored for all customers by 11 a.m.

Sunday 9:30 a.m. Update: National Grid is reporting 639 customers are without power in Seekonk and 1,662 are without power in Swansea. This is a signficant reduction in both communities. Restoration to all customers is expected to be completed by 11:45 p.m., according to the company's website.

The major snowstorm hitting Seekonk, Swansea and many other areas in New England has knocked out power for thousands of customers. As of 12:20 a.m., National Grid says the majority of Seekonk and nearly half the customers in Swansea are without power.

The loss has affected 4,360 of the 6,362 customers in Seekonk and 3,038 of the 7,190 customers in Swansea. There is no estimated time for when power will be restored.
