Rain to Clear in Seekonk-Swansea Area by July 4th

As has been the case over the past week, expect rain and even hazardous weather to engulf the Seekonk-Swansea area for the next two days.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, though. And, it is here just in time.

The National Weather Service is calling for a "partly sunny" forecast on Thursday, July 4 in Attleboro. The nice weather will continue throughout the weekend.

"As we roll toward Wednesday and beyond, the summertime Bermuda High begins to build into New England," said WHDH's Pete Bouchard in his weather blog. "This will dry things out in terms of lowering the chance of thunderstorms (as well as confining them to late day) and allow our temps to approach 90. As of now, the 4th looks hazy, hot & humid with daytime temps in the low 90s and evening temps in the low 80s. Only a small chance of some late afternoon-early evening t-storms across western & northern New England."

That is not before a "hazardous weather outlook" issued by the National Weather Service. Rain Monday and Tuesday could "lead to poor drainage and urban nuisance flooding" according to the weather service.
