Seekonk Town Meeting Canceled

The special Town Meeting scheduled to take place tonight at Seekonk High School has been canceled. The cancellation was due to a notification error for the warrant, Town Administrator Pam Nolan wrote in an email this afternoon.

"Due to a notification omission on the six copies of the warrant posted for Town Meeting, town counsel and bond counsel have advised that we cancel tonight's special Town Meeting," Nolan wrote.

Board of Selectmen candidate Mike Brady and others had contacted Patch about a possible notification error. Brady wrote in a release issued to the media and others that the warrant did not include the time and location of the meeting, which is a violation of state law.
