Swansea Police Log March 19-27: Rash of Thefts Reported

March 19

12:48 p.m. A 20-year-old Somerset and a 21-year-old Freetown resident were issued summons arrests in Swansea for a count of misdemeanor larceny each and a count of breaking and entering each.

1:48 a.m. Alda Griffin, 51, of 72 Bryant’s Way was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

8:51 a.m. A 49-year-old Fall River resident was issued a summons arrest for misdemeanor larceny in Swansea at the Swansea Mall.

9:12 p.m. David Nascimento, 47, of 1 Rounds Ave. was arrested for operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol (third offense), a marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

11:29 p.m. Ryan Estes, 28, of 564 Brayton Point Rd. in Somerset was arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition without a license.

March 25

11:34 a.m. Caller reported an attempted larceny at the Ocean Grove Sunoco.

12:21 p.m. Caller reported a larceny at Sears.

4:11 p.m. Caller reported a larceny at the Paradise.

March 26

9:35 a.m. Caller reported a larceny at Target.

11:51 a.m. Caller reported a larceny at Alterations Plus.

1:01 p.m. Caller reported a case of fraud at Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

March 27

7:35 a.m. Caller reported a brush fire on Gardners Neck Road Overpass.

8:53 a.m. Caller reported a case of larceny at the Wal Mart.

10:57 a.m. A 55-year-old Swansea resident was issued a summons arrest for violation of a harassment order.
