3 Arrested After Police Pursuit, Vehicle Crashes in Sharon
Three theft suspects were arrested after police pursuits and several vehicle crashes in Sharon, North Attleboro.
SHARON, MA — Three larceny suspects have been arrested after police pursuits and several vehicle crashes in Sharon and North Attleboro. Providence, Rhode Island residents Kemoni L. Mitchell, 21, Joshua D. Tangui, 26, and Marcos A. Torres, 24, are facing charges in connection with the incidents that occurred Tuesday night, according to Sharon police. State Police say that the men are believed to be part of a crew connected with several thefts from vehicles in communities south of Boston.
Involved in the investigation are the State Police, and police departments of Hanover, Braintree, Sharon and North Attleboro. It is believed that the suspects are members of a Rhode Island-based auto theft crew believed to be responsible for thefts of vehicles, as well as tires and rims from vehicles, according to Sharon police.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, police were conducting surveillance in Dedham and approached two suspect vehicles, an Audi and a Chevrolet Suburban. Both vehicles fled the scene when police approach, State Police say. Although police did not pursue either vehicle, the officers continued to seek them.

Both vehicles later crashed in Sharon — one crashed on Cottage Street and the other crashed on Beach Street, according to the State Police. One of the suspects was located by a police dog. He was injured after the crash and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton.
Then while looking for remaining suspects around 8:20 p.m., police found a Jeep Compass outside Sharon High School. When a police trooper approached, the Jeep fled and got onto Route 95 south, with police in pursuit, State Police say.

The Jeep ended up crashing on Route 95 near Exit 4 in North Attleboro. He then fled on foot and remains at large despite an exhaustive multi-agency search lasting several hours, Sharon police said Wednesday morning.
