Bilingual Montessori School of Sharon Celebrates Grand Opening of New Playground

The playground was unveiled at the school's first anniversary celebration and open house.

Balloons and confetti rose into the air as members of the Bilingual Montessori School of Sharon (BMSS) community celebrated a ribbon cutting of its new playground on Saturday, Aug. 20. The ribbon cutting was held in conjunction with a first anniversary celebration and open house at its impressive French Chateau-style grounds, which also included horse drawn carriage rides, a bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, music and food for current and prospective students and families. The playground is now available for public use for children in the surrounding community.

“We are so pleased to offer this beautiful playground to our students and to families in our community,” said BMSS Head of School Theodora Koziol, who cut the ceremonial ribbon. “I was overwhelmed with emotion to see the joy on the children’s faces when they first saw the play space and we are looking forward to watching them enjoy it for years to come.”

In addition to traditional lessons in math, art and health, students at BMSS are introduced to a practical life curriculum, including the French language and music lessons with instruments like violin, guitar and piano.
