Randolph Man Facing OUI Charges After Crashing Into Police Cruiser
A state trooper was helping a disabled car on the side of I-95 in Sharon when a driver crashed into his parked cruiser, police say.
SHARON, MA — A driver is facing multiple speeding and drunk driving-related charges after crashing into a state police cruiser in Sharon over the weekend, police say.
Officers say a state trooper was assisting a disabled car on I-95 northbound in Sharon just after midnight Sunday when a car struck the parked cruiser on the side of the road, the State Police Association of Massachusetts said.
The driver, a 31-year-old man from Randolph, and two passengers were taken to nearby hospitals with injuries police called non-life-threatening. The driver was arrested as soon as he was discharged from the hospital.

The trooper was not hurt in the crash. The driver was charged with OUI alcohol, having an open container of marijuana, operating to endanger, failing to move over, and speeding.
