Over the upcoming April break, Class of 2023 members Matt Baur, Carly Buckman, Alex Gong, Tess Letendre, Reid Nierman, and Emily Coplan will travel to Juan de Lurigancho, Peru, to build eco-toilets in a community that lacks private sanitation. For many, April vacation offers a respite from academic rigor, intense extracurricular commitments, service activities, and the long winter sport season. Others find ways to extend learning opportunities through endeavors such as this one.

These amazing juniors are tremendously grateful to everyone who has contributed to their cause through local restaurant fundraisers and to the Student Council/Select Choir Valentine’s Day project!! They are almost at their goal. It’s not too late to support them as they inch closer to their goal!

All the money raised will purchase supplies for the building process. FNE International, a 501(c)3 organization that partners with communities in developing nations to improve housing, health, and education, orchestrated a variety of projects for volunteers to get involved with, and our students are humbled and honored to contribute to this Lima project!
