Sharon Man Dead In Apparent Homicide, Home Being Searched: DA

A relative of Brad Larson's found him in his home on Deerfield Road with "obvious injury" before he was pronounced dead, officials said.

SHARON, MA — Local and state police are investigating an apparent homicide in Sharon after a 62-year-old man was found dead in his home Thursday, the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office said in a news release Friday.

A relative of Brad Larson's found him in his home on Deerfield Road with "obvious injury" before he was pronounced dead, officials said.

"There will be obvious police activity in the area around that home through much of the day today," Sharon Police Chief Stephen M. Coffey said Friday morning. "Neighbors should be assured that, given what we know at this time, there is no ongoing threat to the neighborhood or the town related to this incident."

Larson's autopsy could take place as early as Friday, according to officials.

In the meantime, state police investigators are processing the home for potential evidence, officials said.

"There have been no arrests in this apparent homicide, and the investigation remains active today," District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey said in Friday's news release.
