Sharon Police Investigate House Break-In
The suspect broke a window, took jewelry from the home.

SHARON, MA — Police are investigating a house break-in that happened on South Main Street Monday. They are looking for the public's help in identifying the suspect. According to police, the suspect smashed a back window to get into the home, before taking jewelry from the master bedroom.
The break-in occurred around 1 p.m. When the homeowners came home they noticed that the front door, which had been unlocked, was now locked. Police say they believe the suspect locked the front door after he entered the home through the back window.
Police have released surveillance footage from the incident in hopes that members of the public can help identify him. He is described as a heavy-set white man with an untrimmed mustache and a goatee. At the time of the break-in, he was wearing tan/brown work boots, blue jeans, a faded maroon hooded sweatshirt and a black knit cap.

On surveillance video released by the Sharon police, he is seen walking behind houses and cutting through residents' backyards.
