Sharon, August 25, 2025 – The Town of Sharon is excited to announce that it is one of 58 communities selected to participate in the 2025-2027 Mass Save Community First Partnership, working together with Revise Inc., the town’s selected Mass Save Home Performance Contractor.

Sharon will work with local Mass Save Sponsor, Eversource, to provide energy efficiency solutions to residents in an effort to reduce energy use while increasing the comfort and health of homes and buildings. As part of the Community First Partnership, Sharon aims to increase participation among renters and landlords as well as low- and moderate-income households, through targeted outreach.

“We’ve had many residents reach out to lower their energy usage and make their home more efficient. Last year, Sharon had over 500 households receive no-cost Energy Assessments and 178 insulated their homes. I’m always happy to help connect residents to rebate programs and learn about income-eligible programs,” says Sharon Energy Advocate, Julie Barbour-Issa.

Participants will receive a Mass Save no-cost Energy Assessment to identify energy-saving opportunities, such as insulation upgrades and heat pumps. Through this exciting partnership, the Mass Save Sponsors offer up to 100 percent off the cost of certain approved upgrades. Participants can also receive a variety of no-cost energy- and water-saving products.

Income-eligible families may qualify for heating system upgrades and insulation at no cost. Additional incentives are now available for more households with a wider range of incomes and the process to qualify is simpler than ever. For example, a Sharon household of two with an income of $104,200 or less now qualifies for Enhanced Incentives. Landlords and renters may also qualify for higher incentives.

As a Community Partner Team with the Town of Norwood, Sharon is eligible for up to $37,500 in funding each year for three years to support these projects as well as trainings, resources, marketing, and technical support from the Mass Save Sponsors.

Sharon has partnered with Revise Inc. for no-cost Home Energy Assessments. If you are interested in saving energy, residents can request an energy assessment at callrevise.com/sharonsaves or by calling Sharon’s Energy Advocate, Julie Barbour-Issa at (781) 390-9913. With support through this program, Sharon will be able to help residents advance sustainability for the community.
