• Board of Managers approves nearly $393K FY27 budget for Senior Center in Shelburne Falls (recorder.com) — A new $392,955 budget for the Senior Center in Shelburne Falls will raise overall town assessments by 3.92% for fiscal 2027, using a new five-year usage formula that heavily reflects Shelburne residents’ participation. Ashfield, Buckland, and Shelburne will now pay based on how often their seniors use the center, while grants and donations cover the rest, including staff raises and higher operating costs. 
• Franklin County Career & Technical Institute celebrates 37 adult grads (recorder.com) — A Shelburne Falls resident, Koby McKemey, is among 37 adults who just graduated from the Franklin County Career & Technical Institute’s intensive 12‑week trades programs. Graduates from across the region completed evening courses in building maintenance, electrical, automotive technology, and welding, with several honored for exceptional perseverance and craftsmanship as they move into new careers.
