Celebration Planned In Shrewsbury Around Opening Of Cornerstone Branch
The Cornerstone Bank branch opened in March, but the company is planning a celebration with activities, food and prizes in April.
SHREWSBURY, MA — The new Cornerstone Bank branch in Shrewsbury has been open for a month, but the company will hold a grand opening in April to celebrate.
The April 27 event at the 195 Main St. location will begin at 10 a.m. with family activities and prizes followed by a ribbon cutting at noon, according to the bank.
"The grand opening celebration is free and open to the public. Planned activities include a bounce house, face painting, ice cream truck, games, giveaways and more. The celebration will be held rain or shine," Cornerstone said in a news release.

The 11th Cornerstone Bank branch in Massachusetts opened in Shrewsbury in early March. Cornerstone formed in 2017 after a merger of SpencerBANK and Southbridge Savings Bank, which had both been in operation since the mid-19th Century. The bank has branches located between Warren and Worcester, with the Shrewsbury branch as its easternmost location.
