Here's When Christmas Tree Shops Liquidation Sales Will Begin
Christmas Tree Shops has 15 stores in Massachusetts. The company recently said in a court filing it will begin liquidating inventory.
SHREWSBURY, MA — One of New England's most iconic discount stores will soon start offering some even deeper price cuts.
Christmas Tree Shops recently filed papers in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware indicating that liquidation sales would begin at all the chain's stores. The sales could begin as soon as Thursday, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Middleborough-based chain initially filed for bankruptcy in May following the collapse of its parent co. The modern chain began in the 1970s with a single store in Yarmouth. The chain was eventually acquired by now-bankrupt Bed, Bath and Beyond, but sold to Handil Holdings in 2020.
