Cow Freed From Tree in Shrewsbury (U.K.)

There are definitely some strange police stories that happen in Shrewsbury and across the region, but yesterday the Shrewsbury Patch team saw something completely unique: Cow Rescued From Tree.

It didn't take much reading of the story to notice that there was something going on, and that's when it hit us: the story is from Shrewsbury alright it just happens to be 1,400 miles away in England.

Nonetheless, it appears as if the cow was safely rescued, although it took some work.

"The attempts proved unsuccessful, so a specialist large animal harness, with a quick release mechanism, was used in conjunction with the Hiab crane on the rescue tender," Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service website said. "The cow was successfully lifted up and released from the tree."
