Mark Wahlberg Film + Town Meeting Warrant: Shrewsbury Select Board Recap
Plus, a resident was appointed to the town's new Form of Government Study Committee.

SHREWSBURY, MA — It was a busy week for the Shrewsbury Select Board. The Board discussed 15 agenda items at its hour-and-a-half meeting on Tuesday.
The Board signed a warrant for the Oct. 22 Special Town Meeting, which will be at 7 p.m. in the Oak Middle School Auditorium.
The Board also approved filming for Apple Studios' new movie "Cheesesteak", which will feature Mark Wahlberg. The filming will take place at Flynn's Truck Stop, at 708 Grafton Street, from 3 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 8.

The Select Board also appointed John Finn to the Form of Government Study Committee. The town recently formed the committee, which comprises five Town Meeting members, five at-large resident members and one Select Board member. The committee will study Shrewsbury's government structure over the next year to 18 months, according to the Telegram and Gazette.
