New Beal School Approved At Shrewsbury Special Town Meeting

All 16 articles were approved at Special Town Meeting.

SHREWSBURY, MA—All 16 articles were approved by representatives voting in a Special Town Meeting on Monday night, according to reports.

Among the articles was the much-debated measure to approve the new Beal Elementary School for $92.8 million, reports the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. The measure will have to be ratified on the Nov. 6 ballot for approval.

Town Meeting also approved an article to prohibit food establishments from using Styrofoam containers, several zoning bylaw amendments and the sale of a hovercraft vehicle for the fire department.
