Police Log: Child Abuse, Larceny at St. Anne's

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan. 2

10:09 a.m.: The Animal Control Officer responded to Bonnie Dell Lane for an animal complaint.

12:42 p.m.: A caller reported injuries from a dispute that had just occurred. Officers followed up with the other person involved and gave them a restraining order.

3:21 p.m.: A caller from Grove Street reported that their home had been broken into.

4:53 p.m.: An employee of the Sunoco on Boston Turnpike reported a possibly drunk driver.

8:08 p.m.: An officer stopped several vehicles on Boston Turnpike and issued written warnings.

10:09 p.m.: An officer assisted the Shrewsbury Fire Department with an unruly tenant on Wesleyan Street.

Thursday, Jan. 3

1:38 a.m.: An officer responded to a male on South Quinsigamond that was waving his arms in the roadway. An officer took one male in to protective custody.

2:52 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Route 20 and arrested Daryl Green, 40, of 42 Dorchester St., Apt. 3, Worcester. Green was charged with drunken-driving, possession of an open container in public, possession of a class A substance and marked lanes violation.

9:45 a.m.: An officer took a report of child abuse.

10:30 a.m.: A caller from Five Guys reported a terminated employee that refused to leave the business. The subject left after speaking with an officer.

11:09 a.m.: A detective requested a log for a stolen phone.

2:50 p.m.: A resident of Stoneland Road reported a larceny.

8:27 p.m.: A resident of Pond View Drive reported a possible motor vehicle break-in.

9:16 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Boston Turnpike and South Quinsigamond. A criminal complaint was issued.

Friday, Jan. 4

1:55 a.m.: An officer responded to a female at the Worcester City Motel who was having an issue with another resident of the building. Everyone involved was spoken to.

7:14 a.m.: An officer issued three verbal warnings for speeding on Holden Street.

10:06 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of larceny from St. Anne’s Parish.

10:11 a.m.: An officer took a report of a multi-car crash on Main Street at Boylston Street. Four vehicles were towed and one patient refused medical treatment.

11:03 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of a male changing the locks to a room at 47 South Quinsigamond. The man left the premises.

3:49 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that went through a red light, struck a guard rail and parked at the credit union on Lake Street. Officers spoke to the operator.

4:15 p.m.: A caller reported that a bus for the Washington Jr. National Hockey Team had struck her vehicle on Route 140. Officers were unable to catch up with the bus in town.

7:16 p.m.: An officer flagged down a vehicle at White City Shopping Center and advised the operator about trespassing. One person was taken in to protective custody.

8:56 p.m.: An officer went to Chipotle on Boston Turnpike and arrested Andrew Dow, 42, of 9 Elliot St., Northborough. Dow faced warrants stemming from a traffic stop. Charges include failure to signal, operation with a suspended license, possession of class A, B and D substances, marked lanes violation and operating without a license in possession.
