Police Log: Hockey Concussion, Wrong Way Driver

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Dec. 26

9:22 a.m.: A caller from North Street reported that their house had been egged during the night.

10:10 a.m.: A caller from South Street reported a break-in to a Commercial bulding.

4:43 p.m.: A suspicious male knocked on a door on Winslow Street then ran away. Officers found the man who was soliciting without a permit.

8:07 p.m.: A caller from Arbor Drive reported a larceny.

11:04 p.m.: A tow was called for a car that had crashed into the median near 730 Boston Turnpike. Medics also responded.

Thursday, Dec 27

12:11 a.m.: Two vehicles were towed from White City Shopping Center so the parking lot could be plowed.

6:08 a.m.: A tractor-trailer crashed on Main Street shutting down much of the road. A tow truck was called to pull the vehicle back in to its lane.

6:55 a.m.: A vehicle was towed out of the woods after it went off the road on Route 140.

7:25 a.m.: The Massachusetts Highway Department was notified of flooding on Route 9.

11:13 a.m.: An officer from the Shrewsbury Police Department responded to a report of vandalism on Howe Avenue. A plow driver had knocked over a light post and ran over the lawn.

3:15 p.m.: Medics responded to a female who had passed out at 571 Boston Trnpk.

4:59 p.m.: An employee of CVS reported a female had just shoplifted. Officers spoke with the suspect but there was no proof that she took anything.

11:19 p.m.: A car crashed into a tree on Thomas Farm Circle.

Friday, Dec. 28

3:47 p.m.: An officer spoke with two people on Monroe Street who were going around looking for work shoveling snow.

7:49 p.m.: A caller from High Street reported that a snowball had just been thrown at their house. Officers responded but found no damage.

Saturday, Dec. 29

2:23 a.m.: A caller from Shrewsbury Green Drive reported a dispute in a neighbor’s apartment. Officers responded and spoke to a female who was “very disrespectful” Officers advised the woman of consequences if they were called again.

11:09 a.m.: Officers were advised of a male on a snowmobile near Main Street who was not wearing a helmet.

12:39 p.m.: An officer took a report of a larceny on Greenbriar Drive.

2:25 p.m.: A caller from Ashwood Circle reported a hunter within shooting within 500 feet of their residence.

8:23 p.m.: Officers searched the Route 9 / South Street area after a vehicle was seen traveling east in the westbound lane of Route 9.

10:52 p.m.: Medics transported a 16-year-old to the hospital after he received a concussion during a hockey game.

Sunday, Dec. 30

Continuing: Vehicles across town were ticketed and towed to assist with snow removal.

2:19 p.m.: Officers responded to a running vehicle with a man asleep on Hartford Turnpike. The man was resting.

2:51 p.m.: A caller from Willikers Tex-Mex reported a fight between two patrons. They left on foot and were found by an officer who transported them to Northborough.

5:03 p.m.: A caller reported a larceny at White City Shopping Center.
