Route 9 Road Rage Gun Pointing: Lunenburg Man Arrested
The victim flagged down a Shrewsbury police officer at a construction site, leading to another officer finding the driver.
SHREWSBURY, MA — A Lunenburg man was arrested this week after pointing a gun at another driver along Route 9 during a road rage incident.
The victim flagged down a Shrewsbury officer working at a construction site around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday near the White City shopping center. The officer sent a description of the car to other Shrewsbury police, leading to an officer spotting the driver heading eastbound near Cherry Street.
The driver, Michael Wright, 46, was carrying a 9mm handgun, police said. He was arrested on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.

The road rage incident was the second gun-pointing incident in Shrewsbury on Tuesday. Just an hour before, Bradley Hyde, 25, of Worcester, brandished a gun in front of a coworker at a business near the Kenneth Burns Bridge, Shrewsbury police said. Auburn police arrested Hyde near 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.
