Shrewsbury 2024 Election Results: Low Turnout With One Contested Race

SHREWSBURY, MA — Few voters turned out for Shrewsbury's spring election Tuesday, which only featured one contested race for an abridged term on the Trustees of the Public Library board.

Just over 2,600 voters cast a ballot in the 2024 election against a registered total of over 26,000, meaning turnout was about 10.1 percent. Turnout reached 15 and 16 percent in 2023 and 2022, respectively, and nearly 30 percent in 2021.
