Shrewsbury Man Accused Of Sexual Acts Against Multiple Children

SHREWSBURY, MA — A man from Shrewsbury was accused of sexual crimes against children.

Eric Sladen, 46, was charged with multiple counts of indecent assault and battery on children under 14 years old, according to the Shrewsbury Police Department. Officials said they had been investigating the suspect, who they believe was committing sexual acts against multiple minor children.

The Community Advocate reported that Sladen was accused of sexually assaulting five minors, as young as nine years old, over the course of several years.

Sladen was arraigned on Monday at Westborough District Court and now faces ten counts of Indecent Assault and Battery on a Child Under 14, two counts of Assault and Battery, one count of Intimidation of a Witness, and two counts of violation of a 258E order (a harassment prevention order).

Police have not released any more information due to the sensitive nature of the case. But they ask anyone with information to contact Detective Christopher Vieira at 508-841-8576.
