Sunset Beach Back Open For Swimming
Authorities gave the thumbs up for Shrewsbury's Sunset Beach to re-open.
SHREWSBURY, MA—After nearly two days of being closed, Sunset Beach in Shrewsbury is back open, and safe to swim in the water.
Sunset Beach was closed to swimming earlier in the week because recent rainstorms had elevated bacterial levels that exceed normal water quality standards, making it unsafe to go in the water.
Re-testing has confirmed that the water quality standards are within acceptable limits.

Located on the southern end of Lake Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury, Sunset Beach has been family owned since the 1940s. The beach offers boat rentals, picnic tables and a snack store.
