The Town Manager is seeking one (1) qualified individual interested in serving on the Council of Aging to fill a vacant term set to expire on June 30, 2023.

The Council on Aging consists of seven (7) persons appointed for staggered terms and is responsible for the coordinating or carrying out of programs designed to meet the needs of the aging in coordination with the programs of the Executive Officer of Alder Affairs as further set forth in Article 4-L of the Town By-Laws and M.G.L. c.40, §8B. The Council meets monthly throughout the year in addition to special meetings depending on the workload of the Council.

Interested parties must be registered voters of the Town and are asked to submit a letter of interest and qualifications by mail to Kevin J. Mizikar, Town Manager, 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, MA or by email to Justin Dobson, at jdobson@shrewsburyma.gov no later than Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 4:30 PM.
