Alleged Drug Dealer Arrested For Second Time In Three Years

Jason Andrade, of Somerville, is charged with selling marijuana and Percocets, just like he was in 2012.

“Bad habits are easy to break,” said no one, ever.

Police say Jason Andrade, 27, of the second floor of 105 Puritan Rd., has been charged with possession and intent to distribute class B and class D drugs, as well as driving with a suspended license, and possession of ammunition without a license.

Andrade was arrested under similar circumstances in 2012, and was on probation until Saturday.

Complaints from a concerned citizen about marijuana and Percocet dealing at his residence prompted police to acquire a search warrant for Andrade’s person and apartment, which they executed at 10 a.m. Saturday, they say.

Police staked out Andrade’s home, waited for him and his girlfriend to drive away in a Black Honda, and pulled them over on Mystic Avenue near the I-93 ramp.

A search of Andrade’s person revealed three unlabeled orange bottles containing pills believed to be Percocets. He was arrested and charged with possession, and for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Although his girlfriend was driving the car at the time, police say they observed Andrade move the car into a different parking space 15 feet away during their stakeout.

At his apartment, police say a K-9-assisted search yielded more than 130 Percocet pills, Suboxone pills, cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale, ammunition, ledgers of drug transactions, and a substantial amount of money. Police say they also found a handful of BB guns designed to resemble regular guns closely enough so anyone they were aimed at wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
