The popular Somerville bakery Union Square Donuts has teamed up with Boston's Cambridge Street establishment, Griddler's Burgers & Dogs, to produce a purely-American concoction to be available on a limited basis.
According to a Griddler's press release, they will soon be selling a donut burger, dubbed the "Bronut," at their location at the bottom of Beacon Hill.
Yes, you read that right. "Bronut."
Griddler's said it "will combine a Griddler’s burger patty finished with a sizzling fried egg on top, inside a sweet, yet salty maple bacon glazed Union Square donut 'bun.'"
The "Bronut" will only be available at Griddler's on Saturdays and Sundays starting Saturday, July 6. It will cost $6.
