On December 16, Anna’s Taqueria in Davis Square will roll out the red carpet to welcome a VIP guest from the North Pole. 
From 6-8pm, Santa Claus will take a break from his workshop to swap wrapping presents for wrapping burritos (and more!) behind the Anna’s line to benefit a holiday cause close to the community: <a href="https://christmasinthecity.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Christmas in the City</a>. 
Open to the public, Anna’s will donate $10 from each entrée purchased to the local nonprofit whose mission is to help Boston-area families experiencing homelessness and poverty by ensuring all children can experience the magic of the holiday season. A longtime supporter of Christmas in the City, Anna’s commitment to bringing the best in Mexican food to Greater Boston is only outdone by its passion for supporting the people and causes in its communities.

Featuring Abbie Barrett, Chris Cote (Upper Crust), Good Trouble Brass Band, Linnea Herzog (Linnea's Garden), Linda Twiss-Gioscia, Paul Willis Which Side?: A Protest Music Teach-Out is a concert and discussion series celebrating and exploring protest music. The events will use James Sullivan’s book, <a href="https://bookshop.org/p/books/which-side-are-you-on-20th-century-american-history-in-100-protest-songs-journalist-james-sullivan/3c07d1ecd5552c14?ean=9780190660307&amp;next=t&amp;next=t" target="_blank" aria-label="Opens in a new tab." rel="nofollow">Which Side Are You On?</a>: 20th Century American History in 100 Protest Songs, as a starting point for the presentation of songs that ask listeners to consider how music gives voice to resistance, advocacy, and change. While the series will anchor itself to the book, collaborators will also contribute 21st-century music, both originals and covers. The show is scheduled to begin promptly at 8pm Admission is pay-what-you-want, with all proceeds going to the musicians and other direct expenses. Tickets can be reserved, but a reservation does not guarantee entry unless you are in the room by 7:30pm If there are people waiting for entry, reservations will be released starting at that time. If there are any profits after workers are paid, they will be donated to an appropriate non-profit fighting for intellectual freedom in our nation’s courts. This series is produced by Joyce Linehan, Jon Lupfer, and James Sullivan, with the help of many generous friends. Featuring Abbie Barrett, Chris Cote (Upper Crust), Good Trouble Brass Band, Linnea Herzog (Linnea's Garden), Linda Twiss-Gioscia (Roxy and the Crisis), and Paul Willis, each backed by the house band The Paid Protesters — Ed Valauskas (music director). The 90-minute show will also feature commentary by Sullivan, and a short discussion at the end.
