1) "Out in the Cold: Homeless Children in Crisis in Massachusetts"
The Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, a nonprofit legal services and advocacy group focusing on social justice, is releasing a report today called "Out in the Cold: Homeless Children in Crisis in Massachusetts." The event is co-hosted by Somerville State Rep. Denise Provost, and it's happening at 9:45 a.m. at the State House. According to an email from the institute's executive director, "We are facing nothing short of a humanitarian crisis in Massachusetts—one that is hidden, in the shadows, and under-reported in the media."
