Five Things: Schools Out For Summer, Walk/Ride Day

Also, Nibble cooking classes and some a cappella.

1) Last Day of School
School in Somerville is out for the summer, according to the Somerville Public Schools calendar. Happy summer. If you're looking for summer fun, check out our summer guide.

2)
Walk/Ride Day
Today, like the last Friday of every month, is Walk/Ride Day. It's a day when people are encouraged to walk or ride to work. You can learn more about it from the Green Streets Initiative, which posted this blog.

3) Nibble Cooking Classes
Starting on July 2, the Somerville Arts Council will be teaming up with local chefs for a series of cooking classes featuring cuisine from around the world that's found right here in Somerville. Spaces in the classes are limited, but last time I checked there were still a few spaces available. Learn more here.

4) Overboard A Cappella
From the listing: "Overboard is an American a cappella group whose original arrangements and energetic live show have caught the attention of everyone from American Idol to The CBS Early Show." They're singing at The Center for Arts at the Armory at 7:30 p.m.

5) Weather
Showers and thunderstorms, with a high around 79.
