Also, Paintnite, and riding for MS.

1) "The 27th Mile": A Book Benefiting the One Fund
Ray Charbonneau, who runs with the Somerville Road Runners, has written a book about his experience at the Boston Marathon this year. You can read a little about his story, in which he guided a blind runner in the aftermath of the bombings, here. All procedes from the sale his book will benefit The One Fund Boston, and you can get a paperback or eBook copy. Learn more here.

2) Somerville Artists at Children's Museum
To celebrate its 100th anniversary, the Boston Children's Museum has installed an exhibit called, "An Alphabet of Inspiration: Local Artists Celebrate 100 Years of Collections." The giant installation features display boxes, each representing a letter of the alphabet. Different artists and designers, including some Somerville folks, have created the boxes. The installation is on display, and if you visit, take a look at the letters H, L and W—they're by Somervillians Rachel Mello, Judith Klausner and Charlotte Kaplan, respectively, according to an email from the museum.

3) Paintnite at Flatbread company
So, basically, here's the deal: You can try your hand at painting while enjoying food and drink. Paintnite brings the canvasses, brushes and pigments. You'll eat some pizza and walk away with a masterpiece. It's at Flatbread Company at Sacco's Bowl Haven at 7 p.m.

4) Somerville Residents Ride for MS
Over the weekend, about 2,200 bike riders were scheduled to pedal from Boston to Provincetown to support multiple sclerosis research. Among the riders were Somerville resident Cary Kandel, according to an announcement from event organizers. Another Somerville person, Joel Richards, was lead race organizer, the announcement said. Congratulations.

5) Weather
Rain, with a high around 80.
