Hot Off the T: 5 Things To Do in Boston This Weekend

All events are in walking distance from stops on the MBTA.

1.) BOSTON LOCAL FOOD FESTIVAL: On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. you can sample locally grown food from local restaurants, chefs, farmers, and fisherman. It's billed as "a full day of diverse local foods, fun loving music and art."

Take the Orange Line to State Street Station and then walk 10 minutes to the Fort Point Channel. Or, take the Red Line to South Station and walk 8 minutes to the Fort Point Channel.

2.) THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS: The group probably best known for the Malcolm in the Middle theme, "Boss of Me," plays the Berklee Performance Center on Saturday at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $25.
Take the Orange Line to Mass. Ave. Station and then walk 10 minutes to Berklee.  Or, take the Red Line to the Green Line get off at Hynes Convention Center and walk 3 minutes to Berklee.

3.) BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS:  is joining with the  to hold an interfaith Blessing of the Animals on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Prado at the Old North Church on Salem Street. Pet owners are welcome to bring their pets or a photo for an individual blessing.
Take the Orange Line to Haymarket Station and walk 8 minutes to the Old North Church. Or, take the Red Line to the Orange Line and follow the directions above.

4.) BRUCE HORNSBY & THE NOISEMAKERS: The musician best known for his hit "The Way It Is,"plays the Wilbur Theater Sunday at 8 p.m. Tickets, $40-$55.
Take the Orange Line to Chinatown Station and walk 5 minutes to the theater. Or, take the Red Line to Park Street Station and walk 8 minutes to the theater. 

5.) COLLEGEFEST: You can hit up CollegeFest for lots of swag, prizes and live music performances at the , Saturday, 12 p.m. - 7 p.m., Sunday, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. Purchase tickets here.
