Map Shows Somerville Fires

Since the end of June, Somerville has seen no fewer than 17 major fires. Investigators determined at least four of them were the result of arson, and several others were still under investigation (as of the end of September).

Chris Devers, a Somerville Patch reader, created a map of this summer's fires based on Somerville Patch's master list.

The map shows the location of each fire, and each pin has a different color, signifying the day of the week each fire struck. If you click on a pin, you can read basic information about that particular fire. You can also find that information here.

The map shows which neighborhoods have been most affected by fires.
