Police: Resident Took Evidence From Burglars that Led to Their Arrest
When a Somerville resident confronted intruders in his home, they pulled a knife on him, but he managed to grab important evidence, according to a police report.

When a Mansfield Street man returned home from work shortly after midnight on April 2, he found two young men in his home, and what happened next helped police find the alleged burglars, according to a police report.
The report says the resident, when he found the two strangers in his 36 Mansfield St. home, began to struggle with one of them.
During the struggle, he managed to rip the alleged burglar's jackets, T-shirt and baseball cap off, the report says.

At that point the other stranger pulled a knife, and the resident let his adversary go, according to the report, which says the two intruders ran out of the apartment.
When they left, the victim noticed his television, laptop and several wrist watches were gone, the report says.

However, he had the intruder's jackets.
When police arrived they inspected the front pocket of one of those jackets, and inside they found a T-Mobile cell phone, a key chain and a T-Mobile receipt.
Police were able to confirm the name on the receipt matched the cell phone, according to the report.
Ultimately, police arrested Raul Campos, 21, of 25 Mansfield St. and Jose Landaverde, 18, of 152 Cross St., in connection to the incident. Campos was charged with breaking and entering and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Landaverde was charged with breaking and entering.
