Two women were killed 16 years apart. Ther cases remain unsolved.

SOMERVILLE, MA — The city council announced its plans to introduce a resolution that calls for a reinvestigation of two long-unsolved murder cases.

17-year-old Deanna Cremin was found strangled on March 30, 1995 behind a senior living facility near her home. 16 years later, 23-year-old Charline Rosemond was found dead in her car in the vicinity of Union Square.

The resolution, sponsored by council members Jesse Clingan and JT Scott, encourages the state police and Middlesex District Attorney’s Office to reinvestigate these cases using modern forensic advancements. In addition, it calls for increased collaboration with federal investigators such as the FBI.
