SOMERVILLE, MA — A Somerville man was charged with heroin trafficking as a result of an undercover operation with the ATF in the area of the Mystic Housing Development, police said. Tevon NGomba, 27, was arrested after selling what authorities believe to be fentanyl/heroin to federal agents over the course of a few weeks, police said.
The ATF also had negotiated a deal to buy a gun from NGomba for $1,500, according to the police report. Police and federal agents conducted surveillance of NGomba in the area of Temple Street and Sydney Street on Aug. 3 and witnessed what they believed to be a drug deal, police said.
NGomba approached another car and was seen frantically patting down his pants pockets before running down Temple Street toward Mystic Avenue, the police report stated. Authorities intercepted NGomba as he ran down Mystic Avenue and took him into custody.
