Somerville Police Pepper Spray Suspected Car Thief
Two men were arrested at the McGrath Highway Hess station early Saturday morning.

Police say a vehicle reported stolen in Kentucky was recovered at a Somerville Hess station early Saturday morning, and two men face multiple charges as a result.
According to Somerville Police, the suspected stolen Honda Civic was spotted heading west on Blakeley Avenue around 1:15 a.m.
The car pulled into the Hess Express at 709 McGrath Highway, and 20-year-old Michael Magloire, of Somerville, exited the car as Jerry Nazaire, 20, also of Somerville, remained inside.

An officer parked his cruiser behind the Civic, drew his weapon, and ordered Magloire to get on the ground. Magloire eventually compiled, but police say he refused to put his arms at his sides and cross his feet as requested. In light of his hesitancy to follow these instructions, an officer administered “two short bursts” of pepper spray into the suspect’s face.
Then Magloire was cuffed and tossed in a squad car. Likewise, Nazaire was handcuffed and arrested, say Somerville Police.

Both were charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, and receiving stolen property worth more than $250. It was later revealed that Magloire had warrants out for breaking and entering and larceny.
