According to the city, work is expected to conclude around 4 p.m. Traffic is not permitted in the area while work is ongoing. During the work, Medford St. between Somerville Ave. and South St. will be closed to through traffic. The underpass was closed all day Thursday as crews worked to alleviate the damage.
