'State Of The City' Address Scheduled For After New Year In Somerville

SOMERVILLE, MA — Mayor Katjana Ballantyne announced that she will be delivering her "State of the City" address on Sunday, Jan. 5.

The event will take place in the City Council Chamber of City Hall on 93 Highland Ave., and begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. Ballantyne’s speech will reportedly focus on the topics of recent and upcoming community initiatives, as well her plans for the year ahead as she continues her second term as Mayor.

Shortly before the address, both the City Council and School Committees will hold organizational meetings. Both groups will also address the community with information on their current ongoings and priorities moving forward.
